Q What time does your alarm go off?
L: 5.20am.
Q What’s a typical day like for you?
L: Catch the early train to work. Once I get in, I will check my emails and samples and then I will look at my plan for the day.
Q Tell us about your career route, where did it all start for you?
L: I started as a junior pattern cutter for a supplier and learnt the basic skills needed for the industry. I then worked for another supplier and later came to Fashion Enter.
Q And did you spend any time completing work placements / experience?
L: I did a 6-months fashion work placement during my time at University.
Q What key skills / attributes would you say are essential for this role?
L: Pattern cutting, sewing, organization and being a team player.
Q What is your most memorable work moment?
L: Work trip to Ascot. I was pregnant at the time, dressed-up in heels and dress.
Q What is the worst part of the job?
L: Tight deadlines!
Q Best piece of advice you have been given?
L: ‘Cut once, check twice’.

L: Victoria Beckham.
