Huntsman, the bespoke tailor of the highest tradition, has a history that stretches back over 167-years also understands the importance of on-going apprenticeships and developing hands-on tailoring skills.
Currently three of Fashion Enter’s and June Sarpong’s LDNY apprentices are undergoing their Level 3 training at the Savile Row establishment. FashionCapital & Fashion Enter CEO Jenny Holloway recently dropped by to see how they were getting on…
Now half way through her training apprentice Tehia commented: “I am so grateful for this fantastic opportunity at Huntsman that June Sarpong has provided. I love my job and the training at Fashion Enter has been excellent too. I couldn’t be happier!”
Tehia is currently training alongside fellow apprentices Theodora and Samir. The trio have been honing their skills in bespoke patterns, workshop practice, pockets and blocks, underpressing and shrinking, constructing canvases and using sewing machines.
Additionally the learners have been enjoying media recognition as the bespoke house recently served as the inspiration for Matthew Vaughn’s blockbuster Kingsman movies the second of which Kingsman: The Golden Circle, was released last month (September 2017).
We wish the three apprentices well as they enter the second half of their course and will post an update on their progress soon.
