The concept of Fashion Enter is multiplying! Today, 27th September 2018, sees the launch of Makers HQ in Plymouth, a new sampling unit providing pattern drafting, digital grading and sample making facilities to the fashion sector and emerging designers.
Following the successful Plymouth Trunk Show on the 22nd June 2017 at Ocean Studio Fashion Enter has been providing help, guidance and support on how this once thriving area of garment manufacturing can reignite a new age of sampling production and skills training. Now the time has arrived for Makers HQ, a unique and visionary company providing sampling services to the fashion industry, with a strong focus on achieving ethical British manufacture. Makers HQ are as much about community regeneration as they are economic development.
The Sampling Studio will provide a range of services including: Tech Packs, Pattern Cutting, Grading, Single Sampling and Small Prodcution Runs. Set up as a community interest company all profits will be reinvested in to a training and education unit, which focuses on upskilling the local Stonehouse community, in Plymouth. So watch out for a South West version of the Fashion Technology Academy! We wish Studio Manager Sophie Glover (pictured above) and her team every success.
