Congrats to Divya
Huge congratulations to Divya Kamath – Assistant Manager at FCFTA Leicester; who has successfully passed her Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
Divya said: “I’m so proud to call myself – Qualified Tutor! From my childhood I always wanted to be a Teacher. When I was at university I use to teach maths to primary students back in my country. Thanks to Jenny our CEO and Deputy CEO Jackie, who came up with this suggestion to continue my dream and pushed me to take up the tutoring course. It was hard, getting into education again after 10-plus years, giving some time when you have family commitments and also working.
However, without compromising on anything, I finally succeeded and achieved Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Great thanks to our senior tutor Lan, who provided me with guidance on this course. During this journey, I was able to teach more than 60 candidates on Worker’s Rights and Labour Exploitation and 30 plus learners on Numeracy in Fashion and Textiles. Thanks to Fashion-Enter! This is how Fashion-Enter employees support each other.”

New Learner’s Voice: Level 2 Certificate in Fashion and Textiles (Stitching) – Ravina Fernando
How did you get to know about us?
– My friend, who is currently a Level 1 pattern cutting student at the FTA, recommended me and told me about the courses it offered. I also, looked at the website which gave me additional information about the courses.
What do you expect to achieve from this course?
– From this course, I want to be confident about my sewing skills. Stitching Level 2 (the course I have enrolled on) offers great knowledge of sewing skills (decorative, basic, use of overlockers and so on) and creating different types of garments and products which will be very useful in the future and will help me to understand my own brand.
What you learnt so far and how did you find it?
– Although I started a week late, my peers helped me to catch up quite quickly. With the support of my tutor who patiently explained to me each step, I managed to understand each sample I was making.
I also, was able to understand the basic use of the sewing machines and over-lockers and create a great range of useful samples. I cannot wait to see what the entire course will be about!
