De Montfort University 76th Contour Fashion Show
FCFTA Leicester were delighted to be invited to the De Montfort University 76th Contour show.
Fashion Contour embraces technology, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial skills while preparing students for a career in design and production of lingerie, intimate apparel, underwear, swimwear and structured bodywear.

Contour fashion is an incredible skill in pattern making, fit and using components. The event was sponsored by Lounge and attended by industry. Great to see such exceptional talent in Leicester.”
First Glimpse of New Creative Hub for Leicester
Leicester has a great creative sector and the local council are keen to ensure it retains its talent and keeps Leicester as a creative hub for the Midlands.
On Friday 14h July, initial plans were shared on a major project for a new creative hub based in Leicester City Centre – Pilot House.
Pilot House redevelopment is funded via the Levelling Up Fund and its intention is to be used as essential space for creative businesses, supporting jobs and encouraging talent retention.
The new purpose if this impressive heritage building will be for education, business use and event space. The focus is very much on shared working space and start up support.
This is scheduled to open in Spring 2025.
Jackie commented: “It’s great to see how an iconic building in the city can be transformed into a hub of creativity. The initial designs look fantastic and great to see the original features of this fantastic building being maintained.
“This space will provide wrap around support for creatives and foster collaboration and networking.
“The opportunity to provide a central location for creatives to grow is impressive. This will hopefully support the continued redevelopment and advancement of Leicester Garment and Textile Industry.”
