Fashion-Enter Ltd and the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) are pleased to be involved with ‘Play It Forward’ – an initiative that enables our apprentices to give back to charity once a month. On Monday 25th November 2019 Garment Tech Junior – Gee Fletcher was joined by apprentices Brittany and Kostas for a volunteering afternoon at the Tottenham Food Bank at the Tottenham Town Hall for Crutch Haringey.
This amazing organisation gives people in need an emergency food supply. It was very heart-warming to see how much food was donated to the warehouse. In fact they had collected a total of 2157kg in three days! This was sorted and weighed by Hugo, the Fashion-Enter three and other helpful volunteers.
The food gets collected at local collection points, taken to the warehouse then sorted into categories and sale-by-dates. It is then put into relevant packages ready to give to those that need it.
At Fashion-Enter we think it is very important to give back to our community and help those in need, especially over times like Christmas, so once a month the apprentices will get involved with a voluntary scheme within the area.
Throughout this month we are collecting to create a care package for Tottenham Food Bank. This will include a selection of delicious goodies from our staff at Fashion-Enter, feel free to drop by and give a small donation too!
