Certificate Presentation at FCFTA Leicester

On Tuesday 6th September FCFTA Leicester held a certification event to celebrate learners completing their Level 1 Award in Fashion and Textiles and also SEG Level 1 Award in Workers’ Rights and Labour Exploitation. It was a real Honour to have Cllr Adam Clarke to present the certificates to the learners.

Cllr Adam Clarke spoke to the learners prior to presenting certificates, he said: “It’s so important the skills you learn for yourself and also for the city, the work you do keeps the city working and that makes me proud and happy to be here, not only for your achievements as learners but the fact that you will take that learning into a career or into further learning.”

Jackie Bertram Manager FCFTA Leicester added: “It is always great to welcome the learners back to the Academy and great to have the support from Cllr Clarke. The Academy has achieved so much in its first academic year – 67 Level 1 Awards in Fashion and Textiles and 108 SEG Awards in Workers’ Rights and Labour Exploitation. As we move into a new academic year we hope to be able to offer Level 2 Certificate in Fashion and Textiles and continue to drive forward skills.”
