Fashion Technology Academy Supports #NationalApprenticeWeek

From Monday 5th March to Friday 9th March 2018, Fashion Technology Academy will be celebrating the achievements of the apprenticeship programme as well as showcasing career progressions of former apprentice’s.

The Fashion Technology Academy fashion advanced apprenticeship scheme has been running successfully for the last ten years, providing apprentices the opportunity; to work for a real employer in the fashion industry, earn a real salary whilst gaining valuable workplace skills, experience and ultimately an accredited qualification.

The Fashion Technology Academy works closely with a wide range of employers in the fashion industry such as; ASOS, Marks and Spencer, M&Co, Jigsaw and much more. The Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programme is a unique combination of training and career specific work experience. Over the years multiple apprentices have built a long and sustainable rapport with their employers as well as completing the apprenticeship programme and leaving with an award winning qualification.

Former Apprentice Sannita states “I wouldn’t be where I am today without doing my apprenticeship. It started off my career in buying, the year and a half apprenticeship scheme helped me gain direct experience in the industry as well as learning about other aspects of my job through my once a week teaching at the fashion enter offices. I left the apprenticeship with a full time job the following day and am now a Junior Buyer in Berlin. Apprenticeships in my belief is one of the best ways to approach your career if university is not for you. I hope Fashion Enter can continue offering this opportunity for other people like me.”
