On Tuesday 27th September Annabella and Judith from Fashion-Enter Ltd Wales promoted what the company can offer with a stand at the NPTC Newtown College jobs fair.
Attendees included teachers and students from all the local High Schools with an age range of 14 – 17 years-old, NPTC staff, Careers Wales, DWP etc.
The fair was all about the importance of employers and education engaging to demonstrate to students what career opportunities and training is available for students who don’t particularly want to go into further education, or leave the area to go to university etc.
The companies with stands were Tesco, SWG construction, Control Techniques, CellPath, Dyfed Powys Police, Pathways, Rebo, EOM Electrical, DWP, Evo build etc.
Judith and Annabella made contact with Huw Griffiths who is the Post 14+ lead for all local high schools. He is very interested in how we can engage/work together in the future through training/education.
There was approximately 6+ schools at the event. Each school had a time slot with literally 100’s of students in attendance which was fantastic. We had a lot of interest and gave out leaflets to teachers and students who visited the stand. We also explained where our factory was, what we do, our story and invited anyone who was interested in coming to see us to just call by, or telephone/email to make an appointment.
