Fashion – Enter at the Mode Collective Charity Fashion Show, Leicester

With Covid restrictions lifting in the UK it was fantastic to once again be involved with a live fashion event. The Mode Collective Charity Fashion Show, organised by sustainable designer Millie Fullalove, showcased 14 local designers at this unique event in the heart of Leicester.

Taking place in the evening of the 25th February 2022, the designers displayed a range of men’s and womenswear from delicate lacy lingerie, through to heavy weight, sustainable loungewear, skatewear and everything in between. Devised in dedication to Leicester’s incredible garment industry the sold out event raised funds for Wesley Hall, who provide a range of services including a food bank and free educational services, located in the area where the majority of factories are situated.

In keeping with Leicester and support for its thriving manufacturing industry Fashion-Enter Ltd’s CEO Jenny Holloway was invited to speak at the event about the industry training, support and services that we provide at the FCFTA (Leicester).

The show also brought together other local creative talents with a dance piece curated by local dancers to music produced by the artist (Jaffro-@officialjaffro). The evening was filled with positive energy and a great sense of connection and togetherness, which right now is so important.

Millie Fullalove commented: “This is just the beginning.” She went on to explain that the plan is to keep the  ‘Mode Collective’ momentum going and build a wider community of creatives throughout the city.

Fashion-Enter CEO Jenny Holloway said: “It was great to support the Mode Collective event and see 14 designers collaborating as one to showcase design talent. More fashion designers from DMU now stay in Leicester after graduating which highlights the growing fashion clustering that is now occurring. The event was sold out and a positive ‘can do’ attitude clearly shone through to well and truly put Leicester on the fashion map!”

The event was a success for all involved, with designers connecting with potential customers, raising awareness and sales for their brands and feeling supported by the network of models, photographers and an amazing lighting and sound team. Keep your eyes peeled for up-and-coming events and workshops held by Mode Collective.
