Fashion Buying and Merchandising students from Regent’s University Factory site visit
On Friday 23rd February, the Fashion Buying and Merchandising students from Regent’s University attended the Factory for a site visit. The students are studying for their PG Diploma.
It was delightful to receive such a great group of students who were really interested in the industry and keen to learn about a British factory. The visit started with a warm welcome from Director Jenni Sutton, who then gave the students a presentation into all the different sections Fashion Enter has to offer. After the insightful presentation, students were taken down stairs where they were introduced to Production Director, Caroline Ash. Caroline took over the tour and showed the students around the factory floor, explaining every machine in great detail, Caroline also explained to the students that a lot of different nationalities worked in the factory and explained why and how the factory is ethical. Caroline went on to explain every step of the garment production process, from when the fabric is cut, to when it on a toile and all the little steps and care that is taken before the garment is finally packed and shipped.
It was a pleasure to host a Factory visit for the attentive and intelligent group of Fashion Buying and Merchandising students from Regent’s University
