From the 18th – 20th January 2022, Fashion-Enter’s Pattern Room Manager Claire Solley held another information packed Optitex course at the Fashion Technology Academy in north London.
Over 3-days the small group covered:
- 2D CAD Pattern Cutting
- 3D Garment Modelling
- Made To Measure Avatars
- Importing/Exporting CAD Files
- Digitising
- Grading
- Pattern Manipulation
- Rendering and Generating Snapshots
- Create Colourways, Logos and Print Scaling
- Tension Map and Real-Life Simulation of Stress Points of the Garment
- A Library of Trims, Fabrics and Rigid Parts
- Checking Garment Fit on an Avatar
Optitex software has the ability to fully fit garments on 3D avatars reducing the textiles and time for physical sample making and is rapidly being adopted as the software of choice by leading fashion brands.
