Design Students from FRA Take the Factory Uncovered Seminar and Tour

This week, commencing 29th April, seminar and tour lead, Caroline Ash was kept busy with design students from the Fashion Retail Academy in London. The Fashion Retail Academy is known as the UK’s only industry-led fashion college which provides courses from Level 2 through to BA (Hons) level in a variety of fashion, retail and business disciplines.

The students attended the FEL and FTA HQ in Haringey to see fashion production in action. Caroline Ash commented: “We had students from the Fashion Retail Academy in with us all week. They were all design students in their first year. They already had some exposure through their college to Clo3D so were very interested to view the Styleverse Innovation Centre to see Style3D capabilities. It was a very busy but extremely rewarding week.”

Feedback from the students included:

“I have learnt more about the business side of fashion and how the industry is looking at moving forward in the future with AI. I have a short attention span and you had my attention all the time.”

“Amazing AI and great factory set up! Brilliant presentation by Caroline.”

“I learnt how much of the fashion industry has moved on, the use of AI and the advances of sustainable practices. Caroline was fantastic, knowledgeable, engaging and interactive.”

“It was very refreshing to see someone so enthusiastic and excited to share information. I learnt a lot. Thank-you.”

“I learnt how production starts, the costing system. Wonderful speaker, very welcoming.”
