Business Students from Bryn Elian High School Take a Tour of the Factory

Sixth form students from Ysgol Bryn Elian high school, Colwyn Bay joined Fashion-Enter Ltd’s Director Caroline Ash for a three-hour seminar and factory tour on 12th July.

Caroline commented:

“I had Ysgol Bryn Elian school in today for a three-hour seminar. They were a very enthusiastic mixed group mainly studying business.

“Seeing the factory in action really brought their business studies to life, looking at things such as economies of scale, lean manufacturing, near shoring and why speed to market is so important.

“A very enjoyable tour and they were so bright and really took an interest in all areas.”

Paul Woodhouse, Head of Business and Computing at Ysgol Bryn Elian said:

“This week I have taken 33 learners on our annual London trip. As my last one for the school, I wanted to make it memorable through the itinerary for our students. After some research, I arranged a visit to Microsoft on Regent Street where we had an inspirational talk from Lordwin A. He was truly motivating and emphasised a positive approach to life, and taking on challenges that present themselves. This included an introduction to how they can make the most out of LinkedIn to support their careers!

“In addition to this visit, we travelled North to Fashion-Enter Ltd / FashionCapital where we were greeted by Caroline Ash. Her passion, for not only the industry but sustainability and ethics, was clear to see. This was the best talk I have had from a business leader which is directly linked to their studies. As a firm advocate for the circular economy, it was amazing for the learners to hear her knowledge which related directly to A-Level Business Studies. I would highly recommend a visit to both in anyone who is looking for an educational visit!

“Thank you both!”

The students added:

“This was a really informative session that was perfect for A-level business studies. A fantastic session and Caroline was brilliant. Thank-you.”

“I learnt how fashion companies can become sustainable and successful. It was a very good seminar, I enjoyed it very much.”

“Everything was really well explained.”

“I found out lots about how a factory really works. I learnt about the theory previously so it was good to see it in practice. Also the thought process behind decisions was interesting.”

“It was a fun experience.”

“I found out lots about fast fashion and the process of making clothes.”
