On 10th August a group of sourcing, buying and merchandising assistants from ASOS attended the Factory Uncovered CPPD workshop with Production Director Caroline Ash.
The aim of the CPPD workshops for etailers and retailers is to educate junior employees on how a UK garment factory operates so the communication with suppliers becomes more efficient and effective. If someone has seen how long it really takes to make a garment, the different machine operations involved, how a garment is costed, what the design process is and much more they are much more likely to have a better relationship with suppliers.
With all 10 attendees rating the workshop 10 out of 10 the feedback was excellent –
