Do you work part time? The Fashion Technology Academy’s funding criteria for the academic year 2018/19 is due to change for Level 1 and 2 courses. This means that those who are employed and have an annual gross income below £15,736.50 a year will be able to qualify for a concession.
Both pattern cutters and stitchers are in high demand within the industry and many go on to become trainee / junior pattern cutters and machine stitchers in design studios / manufacturing units, or set up their own fashion label or business. The next Level 1 and 2 courses in Patterns and Stitching are due to commence Monday 3rd September.

Faith Summers became an apprentice in the Patterns Studio after joining Level 2 Perfect Patterns.
Simon Delisser Martin completed Perfect Patterns Level 2 in 2016/17 and is now doing an internship with a former learner who owns her own clothing business.
Aishling Duffy completed Stitching Academy Level 1, Stitching Academy Level 2 and Perfect Patterns Level 2 in 2016/17. She won an award via Prince’s Trust and is moving into a studio to start her own label.
Marta Planella Gasco completed Level 2 Perfect Patterns in 2016/17 and continued to gain more knowledge with additional courses in Vetigraph and Gerber.
Shanice Harper completed Perfect Patterns Level 2 and also joined Get into Fashion Prince’s Trust 4 weeks course from 11th June until 6th July. Following this she was chosen for a one-year internship opportunity with ASOS.com.
Matthew Lam completed Level 2 Perfect Patterns in 2017/18 and is now a Level 5 Tailoring apprentice with Fashion Enter.
Cee Cee Gyimah has completed Level 2 Perfect Patterns in 2017/18 and is working towards launching her own swimwear line in one month’s time.
Sophie Crago was hired by Fashion Enter after doing Stitching Academy Level 1 training for six-weeks.
