Fashion Retail Academy Garment Tech Students Visit the Factory

On the 13th December a group of Garment Tech students from the Fashion Retail Academy and their tutors visited the Factory for an insightful educational tour and seminar. Production director Caroline Ash took the group to each work station and discussed each stage of the manufacturing process from initial design idea right through to delivery.

She also covered essential health and safety, what makes the factory compliant and ethical, what is cabbage and also the dark side of the industry. Lara, Deputy Head of Education at the Fashion Retail Academy said: “The information provided was comprehensive and confidently delivered. All our students were engaged and asked lots of questions. I think they really enjoyed the whole experience.”
