Chelsea Independent College visit the Factory

On 25th July we welcomed a group of international students from Chelsea Independent College to The Factory as part of their international summer programme.

The students all at A Level stage had a keen interest in manufacturing through their fashion and textiles studies. It was the first time all of the students had ever been inside a garment manufacturer so it was a unique experience for them and gave them a genuine insight into how a garment is produced and how fast fashion can be ethical.

The tour commenced with an overview of Fashion Enter so they students could understand all the different areas we operate in before they walked around the production facilities. CEO Jenny Holloway then went out to explain the complete garment life cycle before the students had the opportunity to see first-hand each process involved.

Overall it was a fantastic experience for the students.

A few comments included:

‘I have learnt extensive information on the entire manufacturing process of garments. It even made me think about how to focus on my own company in the future’ Marc

‘I have learnt how to create and sell clothes. Everything was perfect, thank you!’ Kate

‘I now know there are many stages of manufacturing a garment. I really enjoyed this visit because it was the first time I have been inside a factory’ Dmitri
