'Behind the Seams' Bloggers Event

On 6th April FashionCapital hosted an exclusive ‘Behind the Seams’ factory experience for a group of influential sewing bloggers.

The experience included a tour of the Factory where the bloggers were taken through each process and had the opportunity to see the cutters, machinists, pressers and packers all in action, followed by the Fashion Studio where they were given an insight into how we digitise patterns using Vetigraph by pattern cutter Dymphna.

Following the tour the experience included a practical TR pattern cutting session with master cutter Claudette Joseph. The bloggers were introduced to the design technique and were given a hands on task where they had the opportunity to create their own TR pattern.

At the end of the visit, to thank the bloggers for coming along we treated them to a selection of fabric from the FC Fabric Studio and William Gee haberdashery were also kind enough to contribute some of their sewing goodies.
