Arcadia return for a further CPPD Workshop

On 7th June we hosted a further group of Buying Admin Assistants from the Arcadia Group to the Factory for the 'Factory Uncovered' workshop.

In the four hour session we taught the BAA's what an ethical factory really looks like and the processes involved in manufacturing a garment. The aim of these workshops is to improve the communication between retailers and their factories to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance through the supply chain.
Following the workshop feedback comments included:
'I learnt so much about how a factory works. It is very interesting to see it from the other side of the coin. It was an eye opener to see all the garments physically being made and learning all about lay plans, stitches and the needle policy that we would never learn about in the office. Thank you!' Tara, Buyers Admin Assistant from Topshop
‘Great session! Good to hear everything in such detail’ Devika, BAA, Dorothy Perkins

‘I learnt about ethical standards, fit implications and factory processes. Really enjoyed the day, very interesting and engaging’ Alicia, BAA. Topman

‘Really enjoyed the talk by Jenny, interesting to hear the different aspects of a working factory, the legal issues and insight into her experiences, thank you!’ Olivia, BAA, Dorothy Perkins
