National Apprenticeship Week At Marylebone JCP

7 March 2019

Wednesday, 6th March 2019 National Apprenticeship Week at Marylebone JCP

Following the success of the Jobs Fair back in November 2018, the DWP invited Fashion Enter for an Apprenticeship Job Fair on Wednesday the 6th March 2019 to celebrate National Apprenticeship week 2019 (4thto 8th of March). The event was an opportunity for employers and apprenticeship providers to showcase the very best of their opportunities to prospective apprentices and jobseekers.

Esme, Operations Manager at the FTA attended on behalf of Fashion Enter. This was a great opportunity to promote the Fashion Technology Academy’s, current apprenticeship vacancies, Stitching Academy and Perfect Patterns learning programmes. The target group included adults who would come on board as Level 1 and 2 students, that are particularly interested in training, apprenticeships and employment as well as volunteering and community opportunities.

There were many other organisations hosting stands at this event. Esme met with different attendees, amongst which Paul Morris from DePaul, a charity aimed at ending homelessness and to change the lives of those affected by it. Paul was particularly interested at the apprenticeship opportunities Fashion Enter has available at present, as well as the qualifications and pathways at level 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Esme commented: “A big thank-you to Bola for being such a great host. I am pleased that we are continuing to build a relationship with the DWP, as we both aim to train people back into employment. We will carry on finding ways of working together towards this aim.”
