With the rise of on-shoring of garment manufacturing back to the UK the Certificate in Manufacturing Sewn Products is an excellent course to introduce machinists, quality control assistants and fabric cutters. The course is particularly well aligned for sewing machine maintenance and provides an insight into mechanical engineering.
The Level 2 course runs for 12 months as an apprenticeship course which enables the learner to work at the employer four days a week and will attend formal learning at the Fashion Technology Academy for one day a week. There is also the option of running the Certificate as a standalone qualification.
